About Me

Nino Tevdorashvili, LMHC, CASAC

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York and have many years of experience as a therapist, which I bring to my practice. I also obtained a CASAC certification (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor)

I received Masters degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Psychology from the City College of New York/CUNY, as well as an MS in Clinical Psychology, with specialization in Psychoanalytic therapy. While I was at City College, I received the following awards: the Open Society Institute Academic Fellowship, and the Hebrew Loan Society JFEW Scholarship. In addition, I had a teaching position at City College working as a professor teaching General and Family Psychology.

My professional experience is varied and includes both out-patient individual psychotherapy and out-patient and in-patient group psychotherapy. In addition I received my work experience from Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, NY, and Chemical Dependency Services of Coney Island Hospital, Brooklyn, NY where I completed an American Psychological Association-approved formal Clinical Internship. I also worked as a Research Assistant Intern at Columbia University Child Psychiatry, New York, NY.
